Dangerous Flooding Leaves India’s Poorest Hopeless

The recent flooding of the Krishna River in the Andhra Pradesh region has affected around four hundred villages.  So far the flooding has claimed more than 35 lives and over 12,500 cattle have been lost.  This is the worst flooding that this area has seen in over one hundred years.

The Association of Relief Volunteers (ARV) has been working to aide as many people as possible with their limited resources.  They have been able to help distribute rice, plates and cups to over 500 families that have lost everything.  Even with this ongoing effort there are still many people without the basic means to survive.

ARV is dedicated to helping as many of these people as they can.  However the devastation that this flooding has caused is tremendous.  ARV wishes to support two villages that are in desperate need.  These villages are called Regulalanka and Vasumathulapalem.  This video shows you the horrible situation in these villages.

Support Longitude’s Efforts To Help Flood Victims.  Your $35 Can Save a Family

We need your support to aide the one hundred and thirty families that reside in these villages.  The cost per family to provide food, clothing, and medical supplies is $35 US.  Please help ARV and its network of volunteers support the villagers who are falling through the cracks.
