SUPPORT A LONGITUDE CAMPAIGN
THE STORY
Congratulations to Ryan and Tawnee for securing enough funding to keep the Children’s Feeding Center going for another 6 months. By reaching and surpassing the goal below, the CFC donors are supplying Dalit youngsters with the protein and calories they need.
The Children’s Feeding Center feeds I boiled egg and 1 glass of milk to each child in the Dalit villages of Kotha Santhram and Indirinagar every day. Each day a paid staff member arrives at the villages, at 7am, to provide the meal. This staff member maintains attendance and weighs each child in order to record and monitor the children who receive food each day. HOW YOU CAN HELP
The Children’s Feeding Center has had a phenomenal showing since its inauguration on April 14, 2007. These past four months have seen significant improvement in the health and well-being of the children in these two villages. Ravi reports that, “I recall the condition of K&I village children prior to launching this program, they were very skinny and suffering from different diseases. They could not even play properly. But after these 4 months, the children’s faces are shinning like the faces of the upper caste children in the near by villages, thanks to the protein of daily milk and eggs.”
